being 6 points light at the end of the season can be the difference between finishing 14th or 8th

Yeh we were poor today but my goodness, I'd have worn a Brighton shirt every day since the Sunderland game if it meant we'd stayed up.

Sitting in pub outside OT shocking today! Great improvement under big Sam and all new signings been a success. Also more than happy with 14th in a strange season and were not the 14th biggest team in England so im realistic in my expectations. Today was awful though against Man U reserves take wilf out of our side and were Hull. Serious problems with mentality too players choosing what games to turn up in Benteke espeially. Today the usual suspects Kelly, Ward and punch were awful. The subs kai kai and sakho even worse. Need a clear out and some mentality coaching from Sam in the summer and I think he will improve us. If we dont i fear another struggle cant puck and choose your games in elite sport. Anyway never let the football ruin the football suns out in manc for once so gona have a sunday sesh in salford quays. Eagles.....

At the beginning of the season Pardew said it would a transitional one. He was right about that.

To finish 14th is not so bad after what could have been. Well done Big Sam for turning it around. Great investment in January. Let's hope we can push on with 4 more quality additions.

Top of the list would be:

CB (please Sakho)
CM (one with a bit of pace and composure)
RB (reckon we'll be back in for Jenkinson)
ST (someone to compete with Benteke + Wickham)

It was certainly transitional for him - from up the chairman's arse to out on his own.

I would not be too perturbed if they departed the club - along with the likes of Flamini,Sako,Ledley,Mutch,Campbell etc etc.

Mostly agree, except for Punch who has a certain class in midfield. He just gives the ball away too easily sometimes and because of the position he's in it's almost always dangerous! But he's been a good captain. I just hope Scott Dann and Pape Souare have a chance to get back to their best over the Summer.

Biggest need is a keeper upgrade. Or two.

Some might argue, next to bottom of the class !

He produces now and then and at times looks a good player but overall we need more in that vital "Engine room".

Your comments about "Keeper" were echoed by a supporter I spoke to last night and he mentioned Pickford as a replacement.Think that not only would Pickford prove too expensive he will set his sights on a bigger club so I cannot see him signing for us.
