Spot on Rudy, could have done with a striker couldn't we. Just so disappointed as we have a squad of players like never before. If Roy selects the correct team and can get them going we can all relax. Lets keep fingers crossed and let us hope the board will start learning soon.

Welcome Roy,
known Roy since his younger days in Croydon will do a great job for us,great to get a manager with his experience and a former Holmesdale terrace supporter in his school days (just like a lot of us, who remember those toilets back in div 3south & div 4 years)
ROY IS ONE OF US,congrats to what he has achieved and now lets get behind him and the team,i know the changing room will be a lot more pleasant for the players UP THE PALACE
COYP onwards and upwards!!!!

Where is the Joker shown, I haven't used it ?

Love Roy. Seems calm, kind, level headed. Experienced. No scandal or smut or super injunctions. Croydon connection. Very pleased with this

I agree. Right now, I would be totally happy with a solid 15 to 17 place finish and boring football. I just want the roller coaster to stop. Let's get behind Roy and hope for that best.

Let's all get behind Roy & team! Like a few others, wonder if Sammy Lee is still with us? But can't get over that RH the England manager never picked any of our in-form players then (Zaha, Dann). Now can't wait till early kick-off Saturday tough..

Let's be generous and say that Woy's average win percentage is 35%.

From the remaining 34 games we'll pick up 36 points and maybe a few more from a few draws.

What that means is that we're relegation fodder once again.

Is this really what we want?

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

Can't wait for the first press conference where Roy will announce "having had a few days to assess the squad I can see that a 343 formation gives us the greatest chance of winning"

Come on Roy, if fit play a centre midfield 3 of Luka, Cabaye and Loftus-Cheek.

Feels like a long season already and we've only played 4!!!

Well I can think of a better appointment in our current situation and he's proved he can manage teams that score more than 0 goals every 4 games in this league.

I just wish we'd got him (or been a bit quicker with Silva) back in June. I predict an 11th place finish for us.

We need to get behind Roy now as he is our only hope and lets face it, its like starting a cricket test match with 4 wickets down and no runs on the board. It will be fantastic if he can save us but its a tall order thanks to blunders by SP!

What is encouraging is that the team played with real heart at Burnley.

Roy mentioned that in one of his interviews. He knows that he doesn't have to change too much.

Wilf in for Chungy, Sakho in for Ward (Fosu-Mensah at Fullback) and Loftus Cheek in for Punch with a bench of Mili, Riederweld, Puncheon plus some of the Youngsters - then it doesn't seem rocket science as to how to set up the team.

Mili in for the Chelsea/Manchester matches to be more defensive - that is a good squad.

Get a Centre forward in the mold of Benteke (so say a free agent like Ricky Lambert) then at least we don't change the way we play should Benteke get injured. Not suggesting Lambert is what we need - but what else can we get to keep the system we have.

1.29 points is his average in the EPL - so 43 points......?
