I can see us doing even worse than Derby in 2007-08, when they finished on 11 points. Completely hopeless.

Robbie Savage said the same last week on 606.

I'm just hoping Selhurst meets the stadium requirements for the Championship.

How we could have improved things dramatically by using £26m on 3 or 4 players rather than yet another centre back.

We could've distributed the money more evenly and made signings a lot earlier than we did. Sakho was left til last minute because he was clearly seen by Parish as a priority over the bigger picture of a squad that is nowhere near good enough. I don't know how some can't see it. Striker aside, Schlupp playing left wing, Hennessey still in goal, Puncheon.

It's the strategy that was so poor.

United actually look a bit sluggish, which makes it even worse that we're 2-0 down(!!) but also gives me hope we might get a goal in the second half and then who knows.

Sako is doing a sterling job for someone who isn't a striker, but he needs to just shoot on sight in the second half.

Townsend is still working hard, but like Sako I think he just needs to shoot on sight. This pitch looks slippery and you never know what might happen.

All you can do is try and be positive

COYP

One last thing. I still hate Fellani. What a c**k he is.

4 decent players for 26 million? Who are these players? We paid 26 million for the 2 wally Dutch fullbacks.

granted we should have got a striker, but we dis try to get one, its not as easy as snapping your fingers and the deals done u know

We should've aimed to strengthen all areas first, then if Sakho was available within our budget we go for him. No one is asking to snap fingers and get deals done, just any form of competence or rational strategy would've been nice.

I am afraid our current plight, which should never have happened in the first place, can be fairly and squarely placed on Parish's bizarre decisions taken at the end of the season.

United are probably getting a rollicking for only being 2-0 up. Second half doesn't look likely to get any better but I guess you never know.

We would've had more money as we did try and sign a striker. Perhaps we could've aimed to get another decent CB in for closer to the 18-20 mil mark and added the extra to what was already aside for a striker and goalkeeper. We could've also signed them earlier and then had time to negotiate something else.
