It is now suggested that all the top clubs in the Premiership are looking to sign Wilf with even Everton being linked , in January.Paris St Germaine are apparently in the frame. Would we sell him if, in the light of this level of interest, an amazing, inflated offer came our way??'

I'm not suggesting he's actually worth that, but he's worth it TO PALACE, so, unless he really wants out (hope not - he seems really happy here where he knows he's loved, and the international issue has now gone thanks to him sensibly switching allegiance), I'd not even pick up the phone unless the offer is well over 70m (and even then I'd not be keen). If he wants to move on to bigger things, that's different, and I'd hope he'd have that conversation with the club in private, and just ask to be let go to a big 4 club, or a big European one, and I hope the club would do what they could to help. Trouble is, I can see him being a flop at a bigger club.

Wilf feels the love here. He is idolised by us and rightly so. If you compare him with Dele Alli, both players got bumper pay rises but Allis form dipped but Wilfs form went through the roof. He's not Billy Big Bollox he's playing for a club he loves dearly something which may just keep him here

Loyal servant that went to United and failed. If he had any sense he would realise he needs to here for a couple of years. He has proved he hasn’t got a big club mentality from his Utd experience.

We become established by being run in a very professional big-picture manner and not relying on one one player for survival. Everyone knows we are stuffed without Wilf. We should not be in that precarious position in the first place. We have had 5 years to sort that out. Southampton were in League One seven seasons ago. Equally look at Swansea, who were a settled Premier team, sold their best players over the years, now in free fall. Selling Sigurdsson and Llorente is equal to us selling Zaha and Benteke relegation.
