Hope Aeuw get some games under his belt, easily our best option as striker. Way ahead of Benteke and Sørloth....

You don't know that for certain, your just hoping, like us all i guess.

I am hoping it will be good for him - i think he needs some time out of the team but being dropped would just exacerbate his confidence problems. This way he is out of the side but not been dropped, so win/win.

Surely no matter what we think of him and his ability, as a palace fan you want him back on form?

His confidence must be at rock-bottom and every glaring miss must be a hammer blow.He must be desperate to score and looking at the human aspect I really do feel sorry for him as I can appreciate how it must affect his mindset.

That said, he is not doing the team any favours at the present time ! Each and every game we hope that this is the game he will hit the back of the net and that it will remove the monkey off his back but each game he lets us all down.We all live in hope more than expectancy.

If this really is the case, then, as I have said several times before on these boards, they are doing him no favours in playing him every week and 'hoping' he'll come good IF he can score.

Get him into the reserves and bring in a sports psychologist to get him confident and firing on all cylinders again. The cost has got to be worth it to salvage the investment in him.

Wishful thinking !
He was injured for a while last season but it didn’t change a thing when he returned.
No Prem team can afford to carry a passenger like this.
He needs to go back to basic goal scoring training.

At least Ayew have PL experience and he scored 11 goals (1 against Palace, almost 2) in a relegation team.
And I think his way of playing should fit clever players like Zaha and Meyer (no more Schlupp, please) a whole lot better.

Roy hodgson in January.
"Hey Christian I'll make you a deal, I see your confidences is low, I know your not scoring but I promise to keep playing you till you score"

Sorloth or Ayew? .... and if Wilf is injured, perhaps both.

Miss the big man. I hope he is fit for Saturday. I know he is going through the longest dry spell in his career, but he just offers so much more than any of our other strikers (in both boxes)

His areal ability keeps defenders occupied which can free up space for Wilf. Currently our attacking threat is so bad, Wilf is just crowded out.

In Christian we trust (praying emoji)

Benteke of 2 season ago is everything we need. So frustrating that we have that player we all want and need but hes just not there anymore.
