Oh yes I forgot that calling someone racist is worse than actually being racist now.

Oh so it's all about comparisons now is it. As you made your self judge what's worst being raped or lieing about being raped.

No it's not pleasant is it! Neither is it you wrongly calling me a racist.

Time for you to banned.

Seems like all arguments around this are bigger than the events themselves. The online debate can be whittled down to people calling each other either racist or hippies.

I've seen a few of the videos, and trying not to read too far into it, this is what I saw.

First, a guy getting arrested whilst on the pavement. Didnt seem like much was going on.

Second, theres a gap in the footage I dont know what happend, and the guy being arrested is in the road, on his face on the other side a police car with 3 police men trying to hold him down.

2 things could have happened, it could be brutality. It could be resisting arrest. We wont know until we see the whole story.

The guy on the floor is shouting in pain. I've seen so many people get arrested or been held down after fights in nightclubs who suddenly start yelling in pain. I saw a post from AntiFA advising protesters to do it in the past if they ever get arrested.

The guy on the floor was much bigger than the policeman on his neck. His arm looked like the size of the policeman's body.

I wouldn't have like to hold him down.

The real criminal bit, centres around when Floyd stopped talking for 2.5minutes. That should have raised alarm bells. Maybe it did, I'm not yet sure when the police realised their was something wrong.

I think it takes a bit of a leap of faith to confirm or deny if this was categorically racist.

As for jumps in coming to conclutions. America has hostility towards it from China, Russia, and Iran at the moment. It's been spoken at length about how people want to destabilise it through social media. Their collective human rights records are horrendous.

Could people be being wiped up into a frenzy to take attention away from Hong Kong, Coronavirus, America's Health Service, Trump.....

For completeness it's worth adding that there is video of his initial arrest and at that time at least it does not look like he's resisting arrest at all. He was cuffed at the time. There is also video of him inside the police car prior to him somehow ending up back on the ground.

If a person tells you that they can't breathe, that they are are dying, and then goes quiet and limp for several minutes, while a crowd infers that he appears to be dead or dying.. well to understate, let's just say it doesn't look good.

Or when the policeman checked for a pulse, didn’t find one but the other policeman kept his knee on the neck for a further two minutes.

These kind of events are inevitable in the hostile environment of American cities.
All the usual suspects will use such an event to further their agendas, bolster their belief systems and will virtually say or believe anything that will absolve them of any blame for all the violence, vandalism and criminality that has occurred in its wake.
The cops should be tried for what they did and a judge should decide. Meanwhile, I hope all the morons causing trouble around the USA are caught and sentenced and the media idiots and race baiters encouraging the 'protests' are vilified for their stupidity.

Agreed. It looked pretty straight forward to begin with.

Really need to know what happened between when he was initially stopped and how he ended up on the floor, and also exactly how long between when he stopped talking and when he the police noticed he stopped breathing and tried to do anything.

If anyones got that on video I'll form my opinion from it.

To me, the policeman didnt really look like he was maliciously trying to kill someone. I'd assume, it's pretty difficult to hold someone on the floor with live traffic and people filming you when they should be on lockdown. 3 police have lost their jobs and been arrested. I dont see what more can be done for the time being, but then I'm not black or American so cant really understand.

Of course anyone losing their life under these circumstances is a tragedy but how many protesters took to the streets about the 106 U.S. police officers killed in 2018?

Here are the facts as I can find them

No Policeman lifted a finger for three minutes after a pulse could not be found.

A valid point. To an extent I think the realities of how dangerous and difficult a job this can be leads to cops sometimes backing each other up even where they have clearly stepped over the line. Legally too, police get extreme benefit of the doubt, which I suppose is the issue here... that unless a big deal is made of an injustice it gets swept under the carpet. None of that excuses hijacking this to loot or destroy though. Where they can be identified, those individuals should be held to account.. though perhaps not in a "when the looting starts, the shooting starts" kind of way.
