I would of thought meeting with local residents last night constituted a consultation. The planning permission will be down to Bromley Council, there is a precedent of Kent County Cricket development locally.
You seem to think something of this scale can just be built, come what may of the process every other development has to go through.
The main stand is being held up by Sainsbury’s and Mayor of London regarding traffic issues, do you again Parish should just ignore all that and build anyway, only to be told to pull it down.

Yeah, it's always someone else isn't it?

Sainsburys don't want to sell, who is to blame? Maybe you would prefer the Spurs option, if they don't want to sell just burn them down.

i had to google that as had never heard that happened...shocking really.

i can no fathom why some deal can not be done with sainsburys where we pay a fair price for the “slither of land” and part of the deal is they supply goods to be sold in the new stand from the kiosks meaning that site benefits whilst being closed during matchdays.

You actually mean Parish doesn't want to/can't pay the price they're asking. They've told us what it's going to cost and Parish doesn't like it. We sold them the land, and now we've decided we want some of it back doesn't mean the owner has to agree our price.

We knew right up front, and from the grant of planning permission by Croydon Council, that in addition to the building costs we would need to fund replacement housing and contribute to the infrastructure improvements required as a result of the increased attendance. We also knew that we were going to have to purchase some land back from Sainsbury's and what the asking price was. All of those costs were supposed to have been factored into the £100m.

The training facilities are the fourth infrastructure improvement fronted by Parish. CPP never got beyond a few artist's impressions, the new club shop had planning permission, but never got progressed and the new stand was supposed to have been started over a year ago, having received panning permission over two years ago. And now we have yet another improvement plan.

Parish is either a dreamer or he's mistaken the supporters for mushrooms. It's clear from the accounts we get to see that we can't afford a pot to piss in and, without very substantial investment (which clearly isn't now coming from the US 'investors'), none of these so called plans will ever come to anything. But what Parish does seem to have proved that you really can fool some of the people all of the time.

I guess the memory of liquidation day runs deep.

The issue about the slither of land (or strip of parking spaces) isn't a new issue, its been a sticking point since the start and has been quoted as such.

The academy still has to go through planning and will be quicker and easier to get done than the main stand. The money just recently acquired will be used, so dont expect unrealistic transfers this coming window...esp if we're in the top 10 and looking safe.

SP is notorious for trying to get deals, a bit like levy his idol, and as such it can hamper things, but I'd rather a chairman careful with the clubs money than another Goldberg.

I'm a bit fed up with the Parish announcements.
Last year he was asking us to contact Croydon council, telling them why a new stand at Selhurst Park would be so good for the local area, and I did as he asked.
But I wonder why I bothered, nothing appears to be happening, and if any progress is being made or not , we're not told about it.

Planning granted and works starting more or less immediately.

Fed up with constant ignorant negativity around 'pie in the sky' and 'will it ever get done' etc. etc.

And don't even mention the stadium as an example. It's far more complex than some of you simpletons realise – if people actually did a bit of reading you'd understand why it is, and was always going to be, a long and protracted process.

For me in the current climate as Transfer fees are going to suffer and Stadiums might have to adjust seating etc the Academy is more important more than ever. The stadium can take backseat as long as it's still an objective.

I’m a touch surprised no one has ever organised a boycott / protest against Sainsbury’s.
