I gave up on this game not long after the first goal. Straight away I could see Roy got the tactics all wrong again and the team selection. Why is Kouyate still being played at center back we have many others who can play that role he is a liability back their. Schlupp the guy offers pace nothing lese about him and on right wing complete waste he works better coming off the bench. Eze again being wasted making him play the deeper role and spending time mostly in Palace own half Wilf so much ot say about this lazy guy he is not a striker and agagin when it comes to big teams he does nothing because heis an average player who has not left because he is not good enough for any of the top 6 clubs he spends most of his time moaning and walking around. Ayew not a striker so selected wrong here he plays best when he can move around more like the guy behind the striker plus the way Palace had been playing made no sense to have him in over Bat who is closer to Benteke just not as good in the air. How does Van Aanholt keep getting selected he is awful at defending his best times are going forward only how about try him left sided midfield if Roy wont drop him and stick Rieldewald or Mitchell as left back. This again sums Roy up he has no open mind he has a list of his favorites and they are going in no matter what. Liverpool looked poor and have shown they are not great away from home we have just wasted a very good chance of 3 points today or even 1 point.

It will be interest to see how we shape up on Boxing Day. Playing Sunday, Wednesday and early kick off on the Saturday has killed us. Embarrassing score line, but we have played Spurs, West Ham and Liverpool in the 3 games. Let’s wipe our mouths and move on, just a bad day...

I doubt he can mentally reconcile his 'steady at you go' approach with a 7-0 drubbing. But in this own way his played a part in the outcome. Back to the drawing board.
