Not so sure that's the case anymore. I've noticed there are only a couple of Roy supporters left. A poor performance and they may change their minds too.
We're all fans and sometimes there's only so much we can take. Everyone has a limit.

Our players know full well that they can't repeat that performance again but if they do they'd better at least get another point otherwise ......

I agree too but would like to see Roy resigning within a week of the season ending and not leaving it as late as August. Also I hope Parish is already lining up his replacement.

I assume Roy's contract will end at the same time as the many players, namely on 30th June, in which case he won't need to resign; it will simply be a case of the club not extending the current contract and saying "thanks for all you've done Roy. Go and enjoy the year of your 50th wedding anniversary".

There is every chance we will not beat Brighton, firstly they are at least on a par with us. Secondly if the team is short of Thomps, Wilf, and a couple more for good measure., it will struggle as it has done all to often.
But that’s how the season goes sometimes.the reality is we have taken points in over half of matches played including whatever happens against Brighton.. 8 wins 5 draws so far 11 loses. 29 pts. So when we get the squad fit, the real picture will become clear..
Fourteen games to go, and if we average 1 pt a game it will do and people want to predict disaster on the back of two defeats in four, the two defeats involved a depleted line up. As long as we can blame that on Roy, it becomes irrelevant what the facts are.
I wouldn’t like to guess how many clubs up and down the leagues would not swop places with us. There can’t be many.

Could be construed as getting the excuses in early for the Brighton game and a rose tinted view of our season overall.
However, I’ve no doubt of the sincerity of the views held.
Fans see things very differently and I suppose it was ever thus.

Burnley 2-0 up after 10 minutes - and it could easily have been three.
If that performance is repeated, something drastic has to be done. The door is closed for new signings, so....what can we do?

Read the 282 pages on this thread and take your pick!

Basically you can choose from:

Assume we need to get some points ASAP while we have games against lower places sides - and that the way to do that is to get a new manager in now and assume things will improve

Be grateful for the points we have, wait for the unfit players to come back and assume Roy then steers us over the line albeit during a tougher run of games

Amongst the many mysteries in life perhaps another one to add is why so much reverence is afforded to a manager who so readily accepts defeat when falling 2-0 behind in a game.

Guessing again . He doesn’t have to jump up and down in front of us.
What he he does or how he expresses disappointment in the changing room or in a training meeting is something we are not privy to. As for changing the direction of a game , that’s easy if you can bring on three players, or even one that actually improve the situation. He doesn’t, all he has is half a dozen proven to be limited in the influence they bring in any appearance.
The reverence is for the job he has done keeping this club in the top group regardless of a spend that would have attracted no other top class manager. If it’s asked why he did that when no one else might. I would have thought the answer was was obvious.
Some are not so plugged into the, football managers have to be magicians attitude many have.
The only thing that surprises me is that the uncertainty that invades our play now hasn’t happened before this last year. Every year , Hodgson, has ,just as the support has said . We need people in, in numbers more than , the previous window, when he and the support had made the same plea.
Just to blame Hodgson , is well short of the actual remedy for getting Palace to a better place., and some of us can see that. This in no way says , change is not needed and it could be that in that change a new manager could be part of it, but if anybody thinks someone can come in and turn this lot round without much change in the playing staff and the whole strategy of the club, then they better be looking for a magician.

It's not guessing.
It's in the post match interviews where he's said the games had gone from us at 2-0 down.
At least he didn't say more recently that he was worried that the score would 'be aggravated'if we tried to get back in the game to quote the quaint phrase he uses.
Doubt we would have had 'Crystalbul' under his management.

The fans who want him gone yesterday all believe the reason we are struggling is purely because our manager hasn't a clue what he's doing with players out of position and players not being picked to play not to mention subs and the wrong formations lol

Watching him standing on the touch line against Burnley shaking his head after the first goal went in then turning to the dugout and shaking his head again. Other teams got battered this weekend, I didn’t see such negative body language from their managers. How does that translate to the players? Maybe it’s designed to try and wake them up who knows
