First game I’ve have sat through since November, absolutely zero desire by Roy to win this game of football, set up not to lose and snatch a draw.

The most pointless and frankly depressing way of playing football. No wonder Wilf wants to go, I would rather shoot myself than carry on playing for this s show of so called football.

Frankly, this would be the only reason for Roy to go. If he cannot get the players to understand why we play the way we do and he loses the room. At that point some players need to go as well to make sure the new guy does not go all gamble-y.

Those who doubt Hodgson must acknowledge that he has to be a miracle worker to get 4 points out of those two last performances!
It clearly a miracle to achieve that sort of return where you set up so negatively , show so little attacking intent and have so few shots on goal.
The low level of expectation from Hodgson is crippling. He expressed the view that a point was the best that could be expected in a home fixture against the team third from the bottom of the league.
The excuses are starting to wear a little thin .
And I’m aware that we’re on 33 points and that both Fulham and Brighton would swap places with us before anybody reminds me.

The Roy supporters will peddle its the injuries, it’s the net spend, it’s his objective all the usual guff but if Roy’s post match interview quotes are anything to go by he’s lost his ambition and drive just like the players have. Good grief. We are better than this, he’s trying to fool us all and he’s doing a good job of it.

The other thing is I’m starting to see Roy show the the same traits with our other attacking players we’ve signed with his misuse of them. He’s brought Mateta in and dropped him twice already. His comments about no point bringing Mateta on are insulting and demotivating to a player, let alone a new player.

The style of football is horrid, do not mistake me as one who defends it. However, I am looking past the handful of atrocious performances. Looking at Palace in the long run, there is no reason to replace the manager. He has delivered exactly what Palace needs. PL stability. There is no investing in the squad without that.

Not many fans will be happy with the style of football, I agree that it can be poor at times. However, this is our best season ever with regards to points after 26 games. We are no longer flirting with relegation season after season and progressing as a football club.

Anyone who hates this style of football but would be fore Sean Dyche to take over needs their eyes testing because the football is exactly the same.

I feel Roy is a scapegoat for the boards lack of support. If we were finishing 17th every season staying up on the last day, we would be calling for better playing squad. However, because we stay up comfortably, Roy is given 3 championship players (1 is injured and the other couldn’t get in the Stoke team), A rb who has barely played in 2 years and released by Liverpool and a chelsea loanee.

If the board are happy with what’s going on, it will filter down to the manager and players.

Ok, so lose those two matches and be 3 points off of Palace's best ever tally at that point. Obviously if you are 3 points off of best ever you need to get sacked?

I understand that the main point is about entertaining football. My argument is that Roy is doing 100% of the job he was asked to do. Nobody asked him to re-invent how we play. And when he took us out of trouble, no-one had issues. Settle down, lads. This is not the time to hire a new manager who resigns before the first kick. Settle down. Everything is okay, dull but ok.

Somesones bashing the keyboard away looking for an internet fight.....Its really that simple, which I'm so baffled many don't get.

Here's what "We should just be grateful just to be here" mentality gets you.....Players like Zaha (and others who have more about them) leave, no decent players or managers wanting to come and our youths for the future signing elsewhere. other teams evolve while his is happening.

Our pathetic yearly 14th+ finish or counting down the points for us to be safe (when we should be in the top half with our finances and team) turns into our relegation.

It's reeeeeeeeeeeeally that simple!!!

And the new stadium everyones harping on about, how'd you think that would pan out!(No need to answer mush, you've got nothing remotely interesting for me to hear)

Respectfully

Insanity. This leads to Sunderland/Portsmouth situation. I want anything else but that.

I’m surprised (well, actually not very) that some folks think I was actually being serious. As a club, we’ve comprehensively painted ourselves into a corner by maintaining Premier League status on the cheap with little or no investment in the future. This is now going to come home to roost at the end of the season, what with 11 players with expiring contracts, to say nothing of the management team. Hodgson has absolutely done everything expected of him and deserves huge respect for doing it but when he does eventually go, prepare for the Championship. The job of rebuilding is simply too enormous to be accomplished quickly and certainly not without jeopardising our Premiership status and equally not by someone like Eddie Howe.

The future-planning of the board has been flawed, not least by putting a chancer like Freedman in as DoF. All of you calling for Hodgson to go don’t seem to realise or care that we’re actually buggered when he does. And when it does inevitably go tits-up, I’ll find it very difficult not to wag my finger and say “I told you so”. As so many have said, be careful what you wish for.

Not suggesting he be sacked, just for a new manager to be in place for next season.

It’s very unlikely we will be allowed in en masse next season. My guess is 2-3 K per match. That’s not for me. Nor is watching football like our recent games. It’s absolute s***e. Not one shot on goal today and 2 against Brighton. Both games were dire. Yet Roy keeps us up. So I suppose the time has come to stop watching. I’ll always be Palace just won’t watch. Sad.

But Roy didn't achieve 4 points out of those performances.

Fulham, a team in the bottom 3, we did not register a single shot on target. We ended the game how we started, 0-0 and a point.

He just didn't lose the game... not really hard feat for a team that hadn't won in 21 of 25 matches. Also, this was supposed to be a response to a match we somehow won, against our 'rivals'

So a London derby, to amend a dire performance, this is poor.

Brighton game, well documented so no need to go over that.

If these two games cannot lift the players, stir the passion... if we get outclassed by both..... then we are in trouble, serious trouble...

This season is an anomaly, for a lot of clubs, no fans has its cause and affects, make no mistake. We got lucky.

And I'll keep bashing.

The sad truth of Premier League is that you need infrastructure. And to get that you need money. And to get that you need to stay in the Premier League. I am 100% certain mr. Parish has several funding plans, where relegation is taken into consideration. And I am sorry to tell you, running a Premier League team is not simple. Hence the status quo where we are just above the relegation battle is actually a solid business plan.

That being said, I understand the need to have our team play entertaining football. All I am saying is that at this point (if you want Palace to seriously challenge euro places) that is not feasible. We cannot buy the team to do that. And staying at steady 12th-14th is fiscally sensible. Even though it means dull Roy-ball.
