Arsenal quite rightly decided long ago they'd rather go with a club legend such as Arteta than some old boy in Vieira. Plus, Arteta obviously had a far better audition in management than Vieira did, you know when he managed, erm...uh?

Part of Vieira's brief is going to be playing his old sides, both of whom sit in the top 5 in the league, and both of whom we've taken 4 points a piece off this season.

Do totally get the point made but I have the opinion of Vieira that he is a reasonably intelligent person. Arsenal have long been the gloryhunters' club, but have fallen far from their previous grace. They don't have the finances or attraction to compete right at the top, the most non-fans in Europe and a side sorely lacking the excitement of your Wilf's, Olise's and Eze's in the world.

Even if they did come sniffing, I would consider it foolish indeed for PV to even consider taking over there. I've also heard rumours that as a young boy growing up in France, PV dreamed of one day moving to Norwood, going to football training in Beckenham, drinking in the Wetherspoons in Forest Hill and shopping at Tesco's in Purley. His life is complete at the Palace.

Very good

I make you right though, because I heard he always yearned to stroll around Thornton Heath Pond with his wife taking in the pleasant views

Apparently he was told the Crystals were back and he wanted to establish how many of them have a p**is

Wait til he finds the Sentado lounge Monkey, he’ll be set for life! Happy to accompany him of course!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

To be fair to Starmer the last time anyone checked was on Prince Andrews honorary visit. He said he loves coming at the palace, sorry, ‘to’….

He must come passed Sittingbourne on his trips back to France, so it won’t be too much out of his way. Once we’ve treated him to a pulled pork burger he’ll never leave us for The Gooners

Perhaps I have too much time on my hands but yesterday we started with Guehi as captain who in turn handed the armband to Mcarthur who in turn handed it to Luka.
Perhaps if Ward had come on before Mcarthur he could have had a turn too!

Absolute fantastic display last night... first half we blew them away... second half we stood firm against mounting pressure. We excelled at both with Wilf's second half goal arriving at the perfect time just as we were starting to drop a little too deep.

The back line looks great at the moment, Mitchell seems to stop whoever he faces and Clyne is playing very solidly. The two CBs are forming a fantastic partnership and yesterday seemed to add a bit of extra aggression to their game.

JP is really developing into a handful for opposition defences.

The rest of the team were also great obviously.

The atmosphere last night sounded incredible.

COYP

Let's hope for another good display against Leicester.

Where’s all the JP haters gone to... amazing... always thought he would come good.. yes he’s awkward but he puts in a shift and doesn’t mess about.. shoots on site , is a lot more mobile than others and I think will improve again... a snip at the price....

A nice little moment for me was PV after the game (sorry, I can't do the French accent):

"It was a good performance, but it was not our best performance"

Suck on that!!

Usually players play well when they are on loan, to get a contract, then don’t bother.
Weirdly , he wasn’t great on loan, signed a contract and now he’s a lot better. ??
Looks like a decent player now.
