I saw that.

My first thought of Bono was "Oh, he's STILL a massive c-unt"

That echoed my first thought as well.

My second thought was "Virtue signalling t***s"

I actually think it's quite incredible that he is willing to risk his own life just for a minutia of attention and perhaps some relevance, even if just for 5 minutes. It is still off the back of others suffering however.

It would probably be better to send Gazza over with a fishing rod and 6 cans of special brew in a carrier bag.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

So, back to Mariupol. Why should the civilians not have been there and where should they have been when those lovely Russians came to visit?

You have sent me two links to the f***ing Guardian? It doesn't matter whether you are getting your "news" from the left or the right it's corporate media and entirely curated to fit a corporate narrative. That's why you will not find anyone with alternative opinions on the corporate themes of the day although there are plenty out there e.g.

Climate Change with the corporate aim of transferring wealth from tax payers to corporations providing "green" alternatives - these are the same corporations that dump chemicals into our rivers and seas by the way

The Ukraine War with the corporate aim of using up all the old crap weapons we have and transferring wealth from tax payers to arms manufacturers - these are the arms manufacturers currently getting Ukrainians killed and maimed

Coronavirus with the corporate aim of transferring wealth from tax payers to pharmaceutical corporations providing ineffective and clearly unsafe vaccines.

Basically the corporations have cornered the news markets and the regulators (for press, media, finance etc) have all been captured.

By the way, civilians would have left the steelworks if the Azov had allowed them. In fact most would not have been there in the first place given the choice. The Russians left a corridor open for both civilians and for Ukrainian deserters.

And while we are on the subject of elite theory bear all this in mind:

If I give you £1 billion and you stand on a street corner handing out £1 per second, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, you would still not have handed out £1 billion after 31 years!

Now read on. This is true and rather hard to really understand.

The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money.

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.

1. A billion seconds ago, it was 1959.

2. A billion minutes ago, they claim Jesus was alive.

3. A billion hours ago, our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

4. A billion days ago, no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

5. A billion Dollars ago was only 13 hours and 12 minutes, at the rate our present government is spending it.

We are charged:

· Stamp Duty

· Tobacco Tax

· Corporate Income Tax

· Income Tax

· Council Tax

· Unemployment Tax

· Fishing License Tax

· Petrol/Diesel Tax

· Inheritance Tax (tax on top of tax)

· Alcohol Tax

· G.S.T.

· Property Tax

· Purchase Property Tax

· Tax on Title Searches

· Tax on Building Inspections

· Tax on supplements

· Taxes on various food items

· Taxes on Dining out

· Tax on all utilities – Phone, hydro, water, waste disposal

· Service charge taxes

· Social Security Tax

· Vehicle License / Registration Tax

· Vehicle Sales Tax

· Workers Compensation Tax

· And now Carbon Tax

AND I’m sure you can think of more......

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?

Not one of these taxes existed 60 years ago, and our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world.

We had absolutely no national debt.

We had the largest middle class in the world. A criminal’s life was uncomfortable. What on earth happened?

A touch of the Bob Geldofs about it, in that I don't deny he cares and is able to rally significant support for causes, but at the same time when we consider Bonos bank balance, previous tax arrangements and gigantic ego theres clearly plenty else that is very high on his agenda too. Still, despite the ego aspects, from a Ukranian perspective I can well understand that the more attention on their plight the better.

Fake. We had a national debt since William of Orange and significant debt since the Napoleonic Wars.

You should have realised that 60 years ago we were paying off massive loans to the US after WW2, or to you the great patriotic war.

We are still a prosperous country even though the current government is trying its best to destroy this fact due to ideological reasons.

I see U2 flew into Ukraine to do a gig in Kiev!

Just ridiculous at this point!

One of the top figures on the UK dissident right has just written a book on it.

He's half Iranian, which will disappoint all the 'racist' obsessives.

Does it cover how an elite becomes and elite, and how grass roots movements get transformed into new elites?

I think when they requested a U2, the Ukrainian government meant the plane.

It will take time but I would suggest Russia has a good economic future compared to the UK amongst others.

Russia has infinite resources and hardly any debt.

What is it actually losing? short term pain but long term gain.

The west is just a debt factory.

The west's 'economic military operation' is actually an opportunity for Russia to be rid of western banking systems etc.

Economic sanctions what do they mean we are stopping you borrowing from us?

We had paid off the loans by the early 1990’s but that doesn’t detract from the truth of the situation we are in. I continue to be amazed at how people are willing to defend the indefensible like their life depended on it.

Indeed, the west has effectively put sanctions on place against itself.

And when the people in the 3rd world start to starve again it will be used as justification for yet more immigration.
