Uneventful, tedious, dull - Palace 0-1 Dons

In a dreary game with hardly any shots on goal, played on a cold night, Palace lost 1-0 to Wimbledon.

Most of the crowd would have wished they hadn't turned up for such a poor game - clearly the players have given up as any hopes of a play-off place has long since gone.

Dougie Freedman had a shot blocked by a Dons defender in the second minute and on 25 minutes, Kelvin Davis made an easy stop from Tommy Black.

Before the half hour mark, Andy Johnson had to go off injured and was replaced by Wayne Routledge.

Darren Powell had a looping shpt well over the bar as Palace struggled to break down a solid Dons rearguard.

In first half stoppage time, Trond Anderson volleyed home Wimbledon's goal from a corner from 12 yards.

For all Palace's second half possession, they could not break down the Dons and there were very few chances on goal.

Jamie Smith played his first game of the season since being out injured all season but had to go off injured towards the end of the game. He was replaced by Gary Borrowdale.

Alex Kolinko made an easy save from Alex Tapp and Davis denied Black on two occasions. Freedman then drilled a shot wide before heading to the right of the keeper's post from a corner.

Palace: Kolinko, Butterfield, Symons, Mullins, Powell, Smith, Derry, Gray, Black, Freedman, Johnson.

Subs: Berthelin, Granville, Routledge, Hunt, Borrowdale.
