A Marco Reich brace helped Crystal Palace to a 3-1 win at Queens Park Rangers.

Reich volleyed home Clinton Morrison's left-wing cross into the top right corner to give Palace a 14th minute lead.

Three minutes later, he fired through a hole in QPR's wall for his and Palace's second of the night.

QPR fought back in the 19th minute through Gareth Ainsworth, who nipped in front of Emmerson Boyce at the back post and nod in Lloyd Dyer's cross.

But the Eagles made the game safe in the 89th minute with a strike from Tom Soares - his first for the club.

Wayne Andrews teed up sub Gary Borrowdale on the edge of the box and his drive was parried by Simon Royce, Clinton Morrison stuck a leg out and the ball diverted to Soares who finished well.

Palace: Kiraly, Boyce, Ward, Fitz Hall, Butterfield, McAnuff (Borrowdale 83), Watson (Hughes 69), Soares, Morrison, Freedman (Andrews 82), Reich.

Subs not used: Speroni, Hudson.
