Taylor under threat?

Taylor under threat?

Crystal Palace's awful slump under Peter Taylor continued with a 4-2 defeat at QPR.

The Eagles have taken just one point from their last six games and dropped to 20th in the Championship.

But Tom Soares put them in front on the half-hour mark with a tap-in from Jobi McAnuff's cross - his third goal in four games.

Rangers levelled four minutes after when Jimmy Smith - on loan from Chelsea - fired home a dipping volley from 20 yards.

Two minutes before the break, Clinton Morrison stabbed the ball in after Leon Cort knocked down Mark Kennedy's cross for 2-1.

Steve Lomas equalised for QPR on 59 minutes with a strong drive through a crowded box after Palace failed to clear a corner.

Kevin Gallen put the Hoops ahead for the first time from the penalty spot after Danny Butterfield pulled back Lee Cook after 65 minutes.

Smith made it 4-2 three minutes later when he rifled Cook's corner past Scott Flinders.

Palace: Flinders, Butterfield (Freedman 69), Cort,Ward, Granville, Soares, Lawrence, Kennedy,McAnuff (Hughes 82), Morrison, Kuqi.

Subs Not Used: Kiraly, Fletcher, Green.
