Crystal Palace kept their unbeaten record going with a goalless draw at home to Reading.

Palace's draw with Reading extends their streak to seven matches without defeat in all competitions with the Royals making it eight matches without loss.

Julian Speroni was called into action in the early stages, saving from Reading's Jem Karacan and Kaspars Gorkss.

Royals keeper Adam Federici then denied Jon Williams and Wilfried Zaha, while down the other end, Speroni made a brilliant save to block Karacan's shot and Gorkss put the rebound wide.

Five minutes before half-time, Palace had the ball in the Reading net when Glenn Murray got on the end of a Williams pass to fire home but the goal was ruled out for offside.

The visitors roared out of the blocks after the break as former Palace winger Jobi McAnuff blasted over before Hal Robson-Kanu headed McAnuff's cross wide when it was easier to score.

Reading's Shaun Cummings and Palace's Mile Jedinak traded chances, while Noel Hunt headed Jimmy Kebe's cross against the bar.

And in the last minute, Karacan cleared a Palace effort off the line and Gorkss thought he had scored a late winner but his header was ruled out for an alleged push. The point moves Palace up to third place.
