Chris Martin
Ten-man Crystal Palace played out a 1-1 draw at home to Leeds.
On-loan striker Chris Martin got Palace off to a great start with an early goal then Sean Scannell was sent off on the stroke of half-time after collecting two yellows before Robert Snodgrass equalised for Leeds.
The Eagles, fresh from their 1-0 Carling Cup win over Cardiff, got off to a flying start with Martin's second goal of the season. The Norwich City player cut inside on the left of the penalty box and hit an angled shot into the bottom corner.
Leeds responded with midfielder Danny Pugh who smashed Adam Clayton's corner over the crossbar from six yards before Julian Speroni kept Palace in the game with two fine saves.
The Argentine smothered Clayton's effort from inside the area and then pushed out defender Tom Lees' strike in the 36th minute.
Palace went a man down just before the interval as Scannell, already booked for a foul on Andros Townsend, was shown a second yellow by referee David Coote for an awkward challenge on Pugh.
Speroni blocked from Lees' header after the break as the visitors looked to make their numerical advantage count. Then Snodgrass, who came off the bench in the 56th minute, grabbed an equaliser with a close-range finish from Ross McCormack's pass.
Snodgrass, Pugh and Clayton had long-range strikes and substitute Mikael Forssell's close-range shot was kept out by Speroni as the match ended all square.
