Call me crazy, but I don't bear any resentment towards him and would hazard a guess the whole saga is a source of anguish for Nathan. It must be lovely being paid as a PL footballer but all those hopes and dreams of glory plus any real purpose in life are not there. I'd love to see him fit and playing in red and blue one day however have given up hope in terms of even considering him a Palace player. I hope it has a happy ending of course but whatever comes to pass best of luck to him.

3 years is a long time being out, he will have to go out on loan to get match sharp and get match fit. This is where he will most probably get another injury and so this cycle begins again. This has got a certain inevitability about it all I’m afraid…..

Has he signed a new contract? I ask because, although he has been offered a new deal, there is NOTHING on the club website to say whether he has or hasn't signed. Or, is this why we've given Clyne & Ward new 1 year deals.

David Ornstein reporting that Ferguson’s new deal has him on 60k a week. Palace see him as future world class player.
