Simple - for whatever reason Harris seems reluctant to invest in Palace in the same way..!!

Why..?? There’s hundreds of posts on here asking the same question - conclusion you would only really know if you were in the Palace boardroom..!!

There’s clearly a problem - what that problem is - is open to conjecture - but all very frustrating..!!

When it comes to matters on the pitch and training the buck stops with Roy. One of the reasons Parish is not spending huge amounts of money on players for him is his frequent refusals to play them complaining that they are not what he wanted. He took this attitude with Eze dropping him to the bench saying that “he has to learn how to defend”! It’s all very well trying to blame Parish, Freedman, Harris, Blitzer and Texter but if the manager is not up to scratch then all the money in the world is not going to improve the team. Roy was in charge of Liverpool and the England Football Team and failed miserably. We are now playing at the level of a relegation team (9 points out of 45) and unless he improves his performance he won’t last till the end of the season.

I reckon our process is:

Unanimous (Parish, Harris, Textor) agreement on player
Unanimous agreement on price we're willing to pay
Unanimous agreement on financing

And with majority owner Textor eager (to say the least) for greater control, we are left with a decision making stasis.

There is quite a pointed part of this in the middle "that's the only opinion I'm interested in". Presumably that's because this was driven by Textor. There are several articles stating that.
However, ultimately Steve would have had to have signed off on it - so it's on him. I just felt Steve was in between a bit of a rock and a hard place. Hard for him to say no to Textor - as perhaps we're witnessing/ not witnessing but experiencing currently.

Got to wonder if this was a "Textor tactic" getting Palace to sign him (with the lure of the Premiership) with the intention of them having us loan him out to Lyon or Molenbeek or something. Only thing that makes sense to me in signing someone for that amount of money, who can't walk straight into the first team.
