Our family are going to watch the above on Sunday, the first time we've been to a Palace women's game and we're really looking forward to it. I've read about the women's team on the official Palace site but what's it like as a fan? I mean do they sing 'Glad all over' and other songs from Selhurst? Do they have their own songs? Can you get a beer? Anything else to say from a fan's point of view?

Thanks!

You will observe that should the crowd notice that the referee is not as good as expected the words used will be "you're not fit to referee" rather than what is usually heard at Selhurst Park.

Not at a women's match as they only serve alcopops and fruity flavoured gin

won the game 6-1

that's 15 goals scored in 2 home games this season

add the 4 away at Blackburn, that's 19 goals scored in 3 league games this season

next league game is away at "the circus" against the clowns who are currently a point and a place behind us in the League

It takes the men all season to score that many at home these days

Might have something to do with the ladies goalkeeper not being able to touch the crossbar in most cases even with a running jump.Basically the goals are bigger in relation to the size of the players in the ladies game

I accept your point but they've still got to take a shot at goal to score, something that our male stars don't seem to do.

Going to my first ladies game next Sunday at the Valley. Hopefully there'll be a good Palace turnout!

Julian Speroni had the same problem didn’t he?

I remember him looking really short in a friendly at QPR after we just bought him, but i think he's 6'1" which is only a couple of inches shorter than Johnstone.

Mexico had a keeper who was 5'8" a few world cup's ago and he managed ok.

Shilton was bang on 6 ft he was ok (apart from when the opposition used their hands).
