Long term this will reduce the number of care workers. How long before McDonalds or KFC trial technology that makes and serves fast food. Already in McDonalds they want you to order using touch screen. The High Street is dying so no job growth there. The only politician I have heard talk about this and raise concerns is Chuka Umunna. The Tories want to keep quiet because they know this could mean mass unemployment. Labour to their shame and I don't understand why are saying nothing. As Dannyboy says at the very time millions of entry level jobs will start to disappear some people want to continue increasing our population. Subsidiarity! We do together those things which are better done together and do alone those things which are better done alone. It's the USA of Trump who sees every other country and trading block as rivals. With the inevitable decline of the USA and the rise of Asia generally, and China in particular, the EU needs to build stronger institutions.
