Over summer there were people screaming that we need a full overhaul. In reality we only needed about 3. We've had Eze, Clyne, Batshuayi, and Ferguson.

Eze has made a difference, but he's not been played in his correct position yet.

Roy's completely overlooked plenty of talent, plus has only got 6 months left.

Who'd invest in an underperforming manager effectively working his notice period? Especially when the manager has repeatedly shown that he wont use the players he's been given.

2 games ago after we’d got a good point against top of the table spurs and played really well first half against West Ham , drew as we couldn’t finish/world class goal/ bad refereeing for the sending off. Transfer talk most people were saying we didn’t need to sign anyone, maybe a youngster or 2.

Now we apparently need to replace everyone except the keeper, Zaha and Eze.

I’m a classic example of a fan that loves the players one week and thinks they are a bunch of w*knees the next. In reality , although an ageing team, they are on the whole over a season ‘alright’. Few blinding games and a few shockers.
Definitely need a forward that runs about and can’t play luka/Jimmy mac together.
If we lose to Sheffield United , ‘there maybe trouble aheaddddf’

Do you understand / appreciate the financial impact of that?

There’s no reason why we shouldn’t be blooding some of the youngsters now - the likes of Banks, Woods, Kirby etc.. Look around the league other Teams and Managers do it..!!

But Roy just sticks to his favorites irrespective of form, performances and results.

Even if it means playing those favorites out of position - look at the other week played Schlupp up front with Bats on the bench - please what’s all that about..!!

Schlupp started out as a centre forward with Leicester and Bats was absolutely panned by just about everyone for his performance the game before against Burnley.

We lost the game to Newcastle once Bats, Benteke and Riedewald had been introduced with the latter partly culpable for their first goal.

We are in a tough position as a club We are an established premiership club .But no new ground/stand on horizon for years,an ageing squad, ageing manager, and apparently low transfer funds .Why ? Whats the plan if any ? Maybe the answer is to drop down a division and play youngsters and regroup as we are just treading water in this division.

What, a bit like Sunderland, Stoke and all the others did. Its well known the Championship is the hardest league to get out of, we only managed via the play offs, just.
Roy will see us through to the end of the season with our Premier status and a new manager will be installed then. But it aint going to be pretty, Roy will revert to his defensive game plan, as having possession just doesnt suit us.

Hodgson prepares tactics for the game, but when they don't work he doesn't have a clue. Makes substitutions far too late and usually the wrong ones. He should have strengthened the midfield at half time against Liverpool and moved Eze further forward where he would have been much more of a threat

The same again yesterday with Eze isolated on the left wing. Meanwhile Grealish was played further forward and his link up play with Watkins was superb.

It's time for Roy to go.

Let's keep the ball this season!

Next Sunday at this time we might be reflecting on a very good week for the team with all the 'Roy Out' debate consigned to history!

Understand the sentiment, but since when has introducing striker made that striker culpable for conceding goals - that's due to tactics and formation, which I'm afraid is down to Roy.

On Bat's IMO there's a player there, but Roy just doesn't seem to know how to get the best out of him.

As others have said on here it's similar to Benteke, Roy's tactics have turned a 15 goal per season striker into a player with no or little confidence.

After two minutes McArthur was limping. Kouyate is slow anyway, and Luka's running is like a fifty year old with a hangover, and we were totally overran in midfield, unsurprisingly. Villa didn't have to even run that fast to totally catch us out. It was usually at a canter.
Riedewald came on and ball watched. Eze and Zaha did not track back. PVA and Ward were appalling. Whenever Ward got the ball his control is so slow that a defender could always close him down. Benteke gave up on about twenty minutes. Our central defence may have been two posts in the ground for all of their manoeuvrability. Guaita is under seige and the only player I don't blame for how crap we are.
Ultimately, however, the buck stops at Roy. What are we now? One point from 5 games, having scored what? One goal is it? Everyone needs to wake up here. Roy, does need to go. The only thing that will save us is three of the worst teams ever. Which does look possible.

Can Fulham, Brighton, or Burnley go on a little run that would close the gap between 14th and 18th place? Can we pick up the odd point here and there to stay clear?

We had lots of good play but were never going to catch their defending out and we only got behind them five times with only two of the resulting crosses any good to cause problems, we give the ball away much too cheaply and have done so for absolutely ages now and the good teams will always make us pay for it, for me it's our players not the coaching staff.

Fair enough. I don't totally disagree. More bad results though and Parish won't have a choice. It's a shame, but you can't sack eleven players and get results. Often a new manager gets a few points - that could be enough to save us this season. Fingers crossed West Brom, Fulham and Sheffield stay sh1t.

Brighton deservedly lead an abject W.Ham 1-0 at half-time.
Should Brighton win they will only be 3 pts behind us with a better goal difference.

To the poster who mentioned West Ham and spurs - great results and we played well so why so bad now just a couple of weeks later?
Has the Liverpool result "done us"?
Let's be clear - we beat a ten man West Brom who were abject but until they went down to ten men they were outplaying us.
Games against Brighton, Newcastle and Burnley were awful as well.
Roy's tactics are dreadful, unimaginative, clueless, without awareness of what is happening on the pitch and so on.
Danny Murphy - Roy's biggest supporter - said that he needs to take some of the blame for not changing things early enough and not making the right subs when he did - that comment from him is a major slagging off and from someone who knows what he is talking about - unlike the ever smug Shearer
Just remember England v Iceland - that is where we are now - being managed by an old man who is bereft of ideas.
If that is what some of you want then good for you - me - even when allowed back I will not set foot in the place with him in charge.
