as I said in a earlier post , if he stays great if he goes not the end of the world , but if its chelsea there has to be a player swap involved its getting very late to go hunting for replacement

He is simply Mr Palace. Been here since he was 11 and wears the 11 shirt. You will always get your stalwart in defence or midfield staying at one club for 18 years (think Mark Noble at West Ham) but how many EPL clubs have kept hold of a star player as gifted as Wilf for so long?

Unless Palace have some sort of multiple deal lined up, can’t see this happening.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

When Alan Birchenall signed from Chelsea in 1970 he was quoted as saying 'At Chelsea I was a cog in the wheel. At Palace I am the wheel'. For Wilf the reverse will be true. Wherever he goes.

the lad deserves a chance to compete at a higher level than Palace. Don't think anyone can begrudge him wanting to find out if he can cut it and how good he is competing for the league title, cups and European honours. Really this is his last chance while he's at his physical peak, and able to benefit from better coaching and being around a higher caliber of player to improve his own game. If it doesn't work out and he ends up at Everton or West Ham next season, at least he had a go and can be content that he pushed himself out of his comfort zone.
