Yes, and surprisingly a lot of them are loyal and faithful family men.

(maybe, mainly 'cos they couldn't afford the cost of divorce if they get found out, but hey...)

I'm bored of the saga but have a feeling that he's going to re-sign with us. The quiet over Roy apparently signing a new deal and Zaha being out of contract but posting the training ground on Instagram has given me the suspicion that we are building to an announcement early next week that both of them are staying. Obviously I might be wrong and I'd be absolutely fuming if he ended up at West Ham. For me basically only Brighton would be worse than that. I'm bored of the saga but have a feeling that he's going to re-sign with us.

The quiet over Roy apparently signing a new deal and Zaha being out of contract but posting the training ground on Instagram has given me the suspicion that we are building to an announcement early next week that both of them are staying.

Obviously I might be wrong and I'd be absolutely fuming if he ended up at West Ham. For me basically only Brighton would be worse than that.

Zaha can afford to play the waiting game. If some of the top clubs he aspires to join don’t get their preferred Plan A target, Zaha could become their Plan B. Furthermore, if one of such clubs lose a player unexpectedly through injury or transfer he again becomes an option for them. It’s early days in transfer activity and he can afford to play the waiting game. To those who say we should withdraw the offer, I cannot see that happening.

If some of the top clubs he aspires to join don’t get their preferred Plan A target, Zaha could become their Plan B.
Furthermore, if one of such clubs lose a player unexpectedly through injury or transfer he again becomes an option for them.
It’s early days in transfer activity and he can afford to play the waiting game.
To those who say we should withdraw the offer, I cannot see that happening.

Trying to take the emotion out of it and looking objectively at the future Zaha's contribtion is likely to be on the wane. Although a favourite of mine I note that last season he had a poor season by his standards and that his fast recovery powers from injury are no longer evident and that his pace is not what it was. None of this detracts from his contribution over a decade. but the club should have been planning for this day for a while. We're apparently scratching around looking at options such as Gray, Djanjuma and 34 year old Willian. All have merits, but none are exactly replacements for Zaha.
