No question about it, definite agenda against Wilf, no more penalties for him Im afraid....referees have been told not to give him a penalty no matter what happens..

I'm f***ing appalled.

Whether there's a foul or not a player may have to go onto the ground to minimise injury risk. If you ever do say judo you learn how to fall without hurting yourself - not how to avoid falling altogether, because then you do hurt yourself. It is not Wilf's fault that he is fast and light and maybe doesn't have a low centre of gravity.

And just because he falls over once it does not mean a) that he is diving or b) that the next time it happens it's also not a foul.

As for the idea that it's Wilf's or Palace's fault that this buffoon of a ref gave such an appalling decision, this is so preposterous it beggars belief. The decisiob wasn't even against Zaha but McArthur - who is solidly built and does have a low centre of gravity, and whom (as I pointed out elsewhere) has no history of or reputation for diving whatsoever. Poll should bd roundly condemning such horrendous standards of officiating instead of excusing them by blaming perfectly fair play of the team wronged. This is coming from a senior figure in the setup and should know better than to spout such total bollocks.

Except that the problem is it isn't bollocks. It's FA policy. What did he have to say about the Snodcrass case? Did Dann "make it difficult" for the ref by not committing to a challenge that he knew would risk a penalty?

Absolutely outrageous. And Willo's argument that there's no agenda here blown completely out of the water.

Poll has nothing to do with the refereeing setup, let only a senior figure, he is now a journalist. His claim to fame was booking a Croatian twice in a game, only sending him off on third booking. Has very little credibility and likes the sound of his own voice.
