OK so time for me to eat humble pie. Think it's been coming and after the events over the weekend and today its the nail in the coffin.

In the summer I argued about how frustrating it was that we seemed so close to getting NES only for it to be scuppered by his demands at the last second and my argument was that we should just do it to get him......(ahem)

I then argued that I was sceptical about getting PV as manager and that I felt people were putting too much into the fact he was a world class player but this does not necessarily mean he is a good manager.......(ahem)

It seems hard to argue against me being very wrong and it seems only right that I put myself in the Homesdale Online stocks and take whatever you wish to throw at me!

One more point

Well your not alone in wondering how things would go with PV. who ever is tracking and finding these young guns deservers high praise too.

Looking at the table what a huge win against City that was.

Without it we would have been fourth from bottom and only 2 points outside the bottom three.

A sobering thought and just goes to show how important wins are as opposed to draws.

I'm so Palace I don't even know it

I'm only half in the stocks. I too thought Nuno would be a good appointment, however when they talked about him bringing in all his staff I was less optimistic, and ended up being not that upset at the end.

I will admit I was happy with the PV appointment. I had the pleasure of watching him at NYC FC and he did a great job. Never won the league, but always was competitive and was able to handle big egos without (as far as I could tell) too much dissent.

My son also met him and said he was really nice, but the most intimidating person he's ever met.
