Apologies for this being a late announcement, but as some people may have been aware from the tribute that was put on the big screen at the Spurs game, our former Holmesdale Online moderator Gavin (Moose) sadly passed away after a short illness back in October 2022. Gavin was a great support to the website over the years, and Gordon and I are so grateful for the time and effort he put in to support us. I don't have any recollection of engaging in debate with Moose,however he is someone who made a significant contribution to HOL over the years. May his soul rest in peace. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP Moose. Edited by Willo (06 Jan 2023 3.11pm)

Gavin was a moderator during what was certainly the Golden Era of the HOL. A proper Palace fan and a lovely bloke. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family. RIP, Moosey baby. Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Moose was one of many friends I made on here during that Golden Era, and we shared some excellent City lunches together.

I’ve passed word onto others that knew him and that no longer come on here.
