Mateta looks slow, gangly, low work rate, and unable to do anything other than wait for a brilliant cross. How is that any different than Benteke or Sorloth? Really, Mateta looks like the the stupidest signing we've had in recent years, which is really saying something.

Think we have a decent striker here. Yes, he looked slow but showed on occasions he has a lot to offer. Mile Jedinak was rubbish in his first couple of games - so no judgement yet on Mateta.

Yes ... new striker, same old tactics. One or the other is certainly wrong but I know where I'd place my money. Poor guy will probably go the same way as Benteke or Bats and get a headless chicken cameo role every so often in an ill fitting team.
