Where we are now in the week of his death is that Sinn Fein have half the vote by democratic means that says a lot for him and for others who put guns aside. So where does N.Ireland go from here I think its up in the air just like Scotland. The 'lead' country in the union, us, seems to be headed for a cosy 50's world of faded empire grammar schools so forth hardly forward looking. So the nationalist cause seems to be bright and hopeful outward-looking especially to the young. Rubbishing and finger-wagging from unelected Mrs May just pushing people into the nationalist camp.

Strange statement - she won Maidenhead with a massive 54% majority. She would have won even if all opposition parties had combined their votes. Hardly unelected. I'd say very firmly elected (whether you like her or not)
