Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

All of my contributions to the thread have been in the same tone. Yours have called those who disagree, idiots. Where the law of the land (especially around finances) is by the rich for the rich, it should be subject to scrutiny, as should the ethics of it. With 'Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers' in your sig, I'm surprised you don't also consider these factors. The wider issues here are largely non partisan in nature with increasing numbers becom ing fed up by the behaviour of our elected representatives and those in their sphere.

Well, I have considered it in the past, but it's a minor irritation which doesn't affect me directly, so it's just amongst all the other pointless laws which drag us down.

By the way, I haven't disagreed with anyone. I'm just not outraged by someone using the available rules. Or 'loopholes' if you prefer.

Tim likes to disagree, or to be contrarian. He doesn’t know why he does or what or why he’s arguing what he is, he just does. It must be very tiring for those around him. Tim needs attention.

I thought you were more grown up than this. Seems I was mistaken.

What did I state that was contrary?

Perhaps we are looking at this from the wrong way.

Can you actually achieve high-office in any modern country with a moral compass? Has the system itself become so warped that all we can argue about is what flavor of sociopath we want occupying the highest political position in the land?

I suspect that this is a correct assessment of the state of the ruling classes.

The idea that because something is legal, it's fair, is so flawed I think a 4 year old could pick holes in it.

Who said it was fair? Life's not fair, but neither are humans. As you can see. Don't like it, change it. Start a movement. Get all your toddler mates to help.

You acknowledge that many aspects of politics are not fair, but call anyone interested in changing anything 'outraged idiots', 'toddlers' the list goes on. The point being made is that this kind of thing isn't an isolated incident or all that people are annoyed about. We lose track of the number of times politicians behave in ways that are absurdly in 'self interest' territory, or unearned contracts for mates, laws that fit like a glove with the rich and corporations.

If it could be easily changed, it already would have been. Influence doesn't only come from a vote, that is the point. And that influence both corrupts our politics, and works against anyone trying to change the status quo, what choice of essentially two options they go for. To hold the 'servants of the people' to account and look to a day where they 'actually' work for the people is somewhere we should all look to, rather than 'olife's not fair, idiot' type talk.

Quote By the way, I haven't disagreed with anyone. I'm just not outraged by someone using the available rules.

Then you have a very unique way of agreeing with people.

I didn't "call anyone interested in changing anything 'outraged idiots'". I advised the idiots to change the things they are outraged about. Keep up! This is getting tiresome.

If you think it's unique, you should get out more. You seem to spend an inordinate amount of time on social media. Which is quite toxic.

It's idiots like him who have allowed the country to become so corrupt by accepting 'olife's not fair' for so long while they get screwed over.

And somehow all the while retaining a belief that we as ordinary citizens have the ability to change things.

This is what tires me. I already said I don't call anyone interested in changing anything 'outraged idiots'. This is you twisting text. Just stop it. I said go and change it if you are outraged. If you do nothing except wave flags and whine on social media, don't expext change.

'Toddlers' wasn't directed at you. Which, I hope, you realised. You are amongst others who reply.

Now I have no idea how old you are, but for all your life, the non dom rule has been in place. Why is it that only now the rule is offensive, along with all the other indiscresions of governments? All this has been going on a very long time. But, only now, you find it beyond redemption.

I have noticed, as you have seen by my 'sig', these indiscresions before. You have no idea what I have done to get some of these stupid laws changed. But you might also notice that my methods are not for everyone.

That's a wild statement, seeing as you have no idea about who I am. It's more likely that people like you who think they, as ordinary people, don't have the ability to change things, and have sat back and waved flags and whinged, that have allowed the country to become so corrupt.

Also, what's this 'olife's not fair' about?
