I think Adebayor is out to prove that he can still cut it and wants to make a statement. If we get him on loan just to the end of the season and he puts a hatful of goals away for us that keeps us in the top ten it will be a job well done.

although he's going to be a way off match fitness, by not playing much in the last couple of years he's probably extended his career by the same amount because his body has had a rest and not been subject to the rigours of training and match days. I was skeptical of this theory at first but was told so by a sports therapist who was working on an injury I had at the time unless she was just trying to make me feel better about it
