Find it difficult to understand haw Schlupp gets a game over Meyer. Hodgson lost the plot a good while ago whilst on England duty, time to retire. Thanks for the service, but you have no clue.

There is also the economic factor unfortunately.

In my opinion if we had any other manager Meyer would be starting every week.

You have to fit this around Zaha and Meyer. Zaha on the left, Meyer in the middle. Any good manager would see this.

It would be complete madness if he doesn’t play against Fulham...

If we don’t attack Fulham behind Meyer, we will have to endure the combined, constant threat of Mitrovic, Schurle, Babel and Sessegnon. I don’t want to watch us defend all game with the odd counter attack and save our ‘fresh legs’ until the 80th minute. That’s not working. Give Meyer, Benteke and Wickham a chance by giving them some decent minutes.

I’m not saying their rubbish players, nor am I saying we’ll beat them easy. But aside from Mitrovic being better than what we have up front (benteke first season at palace was better imo) our players are better. Much better

Meyer has to start if we are serious about winning games he is our only creative midfielder yet we start with 3 solid midfielders who are good at everything but passing. In away games I kind of understand it but in home games where the majority of opposition park the bus we need Meyer to open these teams up.

He finally pulled the trigger at the weekend and scored. He's been in that position a few times and gone sideways 9 times out of ten, not sure whether that's lack of confidence or instruction. Putting Schlupp on before him was absolutely criminal, drop out Macca (love the bloke) and play him from the start. We don't need 2 holding midfielders against bottom 10 teams.
