My suggestion would be Jury's Inn, a short walk to East Croydon station. However, if Southampton Eagle goes ahead with his original booking, I'd love to hear about it.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

I am already anticipating a tale of stab jackets, urine and blood soaked carpet, sexual deviation, massive drug use. I reckon the Old Bill be called by a DHSS resident complaining of outrageous behaviour

My father came to London at the end of the Second World War and worked on hotels repairing bomb damage...in the sixties the Queens use to owned by a guy called Bill Ferrari...the hotel use to be one of better hotels in greater London....the bar business in the hotel during the seventies use to be managed by a guy called Charlie Angel who became a friend of Mel Blyth who use to frequent the place...in the early eighties the place was deverstated by a fire where a young Welsh bar man called Fred lost his life and the revamp after the fire resulted in the hotel in its new guise being opened by Malcom Allison.I also remember the parrot in the bar called Max..he was able to recite every swear word you could think of...and if you spoke to him he would tell you to F off..!!....ah the good old days.
