I used to frequent the basement bar in the early 80's as the Anglo-School was next door and there was always a chance in my over-optimistic mind that the latest class would be a coachload of pig-tailed Swedish milkmaids aged 18/19 keen on meeting someone who wanted to talk about teets with them in English. Mickey Finn used to be in there a lot, sozzled, and occasionally would put T-Rex on the juke box which was cool... and sad.

Used to live near there in the 1970s and drank in the Queens. Was a good bar then. A lot of the away teams playing Palace used to stay there. Saw Clough one Saturday morning. Also saw Alex Higgins there.
