Not sure about this now, due to the Taxpayer's funded Olympic Stadium. Surely could overcome that hurdle (pun not intended!)

It should be putt to the vote

Can Sainsbury's be given some naming concessions to some part of the ground to sweeten the pill?

I do t think stand naming is worth much. Stadium naming on the other hand. But then you're swapping cash from someone else for no cash. Sainsburys target audience is the mass market, which is why they're on ITV at any time, apart from football programmes when you get gambling, make grooming, cars, booze etc.

You either get stadium sponsors targeting the football audience or their HQ or manufacturing located close by, or in the case of Fly Virgin (to LA), Fly Emirates etc needing to build their brand up. Sainsburys in the UK is a well known brand. Where they become competitive is number of stores, price/quality, regular advertising of products and quality/price.

I'd be surprised if their advertising/marketing heads think stadium or stand naming is of any advantage in their market.

Waitrose have been kit sponsor for the England cricket team but haven't renewed their sponsorship and they will be replaced by RBS for the 2017 season.

They previously sponsored Reading.

Aren't the Sainsbury family reputed to be philanphropists? So may be we should appeal to their charitable instincts !

Sainsbury's Park Stadium

Paint everything orange and have overweight, miserable birds on duty on match day around the stadium.

And let their CEO have a place in the squad ahead of Fryers.

That'll tempt them

If we go down of course, which is a distinct possibility, the stadium project will clearly be put on the 'Back burner'.

It would be too rude to make the obvious comment.
