I'd take Lamps over Howe.
He did a good job at Derby
He did a Good job at Chelsea until he was given a massive wad of cash to spunk on a whole new team.
It only started to go wrong when he had loads of new players who'd never played together before and needed to Gel together.
a Couple of points on that:
1) getting 1 player to gel with the rest of the team immediately is uncommon, getting a whole new team to do it is nigh on impossible.
2) we aint gonna have the Money to do similar, so that'll never happen here.
The only real concern I have with him is that he didn't really manage the defence particularly well.
I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and say that he was focused on the 60 massive ego's he'd just paid for.

I'm not saying he's the man for us, but for me, he's a better option than Howe if we were to replace our current Mr Marmite.

p.s. and He's really gonna want to bounce back quick. so he'll be motivated.

There are a number of clubs in the Championship reinventing themselves , they have been trying for years. The Championship will become harder to progress in the future, due to Brexit. The work permit issue will mean more Premier clubs will go fishing for players in the Championship, as seen already with Klopp going to Preston for a CB.
