I think we need to be very careful as fans and our expectations here. As far as I know there have been no indications we have even scouted Dembele let alone made a bid for him. Early in the transfer window it was reported Brighton had made an 18 mill bid and it was on the back of this report a few of us posted if he was a possible target for Brighton, could he be a target for us. Since that it has taken a life of it's own with,I suspect, many thinking there may have been more solid moves. We also run the risk of people feeling disappointed when we do sign a striker, I'm seeing such comments with the links to the likes of Eder.

Looks like we are favourites. Dembele wasn’t used last game as well. Hopefully we get him. If we do. I’m calling this the best transfer window ever.

Pity The only ‘ real rumour’ seems to be with Eder, which doesn’t seem to be going anywhere at the moment. Similarly no movement on Babacar. Sadly I think the Dembele thread is all about fans’ wishful thinking, including me. No sign yet of any action by Palace yet.

Maybe it was in that Brighton have already signed a striker this week and Palace’s interest in Eder doesn’t seem to be progressing?
