It was widely reported early in the Transfer window Brighton had bid 18 mill for him. It could well be that bid he is referring to which suggests we have not made a bid.

Brighton have since bought a guy so I'm thinking Rodgers comments could be him telling Palace that they will have to pay significantly more than 18 mill for him.

Just giving my opinion - I am befuddled as to your reaction.

Perhaps if an actual reason as to why Willo thinks Dembele won't sign for us was offered he may not have provoked such a strong response.

After all a lot of his opinions tend to be negative when it comes to Palace.

It was a little uncalled for but did you express an opinion or make a statement? I don’t think it unreasonable to seek out a source or verification if you state “Dembele won’t be joining us.”
Or are people not permitted to ask and just accept what you have stated?

One can enter into the world of semantics regarding "Opinion" or "Statement" and a continuation of such a line of debate will only de-rail this thread as will calls for verification etc etc.At the end of the day people can form their own opinions and formulate their own statements and it is up to the rest to form a judgement.

Let's get back to Dembele rather than an interrogation into a mere one-liner.
