I think Wilf needs a really strong manager who is going to drop him when he’s out of form, hook him when he’s having a strop and embarrassing himself AND play him where he does most good for the team (not himself) . In my view that’s on the right wing.

He’s a wonderful player at times the best I’ve ever seen at the Palace and arguably too good for us when he’s truly on form - but let’s face it we haven’t seen the best of him for some time.

I think anyone offering £45 million for Wilf at this point in time would be mad - but I kinda feel like we should give him what he wants and just try and get the best deal we can - players plus cash so we don’t have to pay too much comp to Man U.
