Todays first download is a set by Crowded House that was recorded at the Mermaid Theatre, London on the 20th May 2010. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from a DAB digital broadcast and it sounds fantastic. I've not posted that many shows by Crowded House over the years as good quality shows are rare. This is a great sounding show and the band are playing a selection of songs from their album "Intriguer" which had just been released - as well as some of their old classics. This is great stuff and if you like Crowded House you will definitely want this one... this is thoroughly recommended... Todays second download is a set by Supergrass that was recorded at the Reading Festival, Reading, Berkshire on the 25th August 2001. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from an FM broadcast and it sounds top notch. I've not posted that many shows by Supergrass on the mp3 thread - only a couple of bootlegs and a few studio released albums. This is a good show and if you like Supergrass this is thoroughly recommended... and then some!.. Todays extra download is a double by the Scorpions that were both recorded in Russia. The first was at the Moscow Peace Festival in 1989 and the second was at the Tafnet Ice Arena, Kazan, Russia in 2005. Both these shows are in superb quality with the audio for both being taken from the soundboard. The first is only a short set really - the second set is a full set with all the classics like "Send Me An Angel" "Big City Nights" and "Rock You Like A Hurricane". If you like the Scorpions and these seem familiar it's because both have been posted before - a while back now though. If you missed them first time around - grab them now as they will not be posted again. Todays first download is a set by Mary Hopkin that was recorded at the Osaka Expo 1970 in Japan. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. I've only ever posted one other bootleg by Mary Hopkin as that was the only one I'd ever seen - so when I saw this show I grabbed it immediately hoping it was in good quality - it is... and it's a top set with some real classics by Mary being performed. The classics "Knock, Knock Who's There?" "Goodbye" and "Those Were The Days" are all performed. Track #10 is listed but not in the file as its an official release. Bootlegs by Mary Hopkin are very, VERY rare... so grab this show... this is thoroughly recommended... and then some... Todays second download is a solo set by Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley that was recorded at the Summerfest, Milwaukee on the 29th June 1987. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. I've not posted any solo bootlegs by Ace in the past (according to my files) but loads while he's with Kiss. This is a cracking set with a selection of solo and Kiss tracks included. If you like Ace Frehley then grab this one... this is thoroughly recommended... Todays extra download is a set by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark that was recorded at Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop by KEXP-FM radio as part of the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas on the 17th March 2011. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set comes from an FM broadcast and it sounds top notch. I've posted stacks of boots and albums by OMD over the years and this is another top show for the collection. If you like a bit of Synth pop - then download this one... this is great stuff and thoroughly recommended. Todays first download is a tour rehearsal set recorded by Jeff Beck in 2000. The venue for the recording isnt listed nor the exact date. Not that it matters as the music is what counts and that is top notch. Some great blues rock on this one by Jeff with some great tracks. I've posted a few shows by JB over the years and this is another top sounding show for the collection. If you like Jeff Beck then download this one - this is thoroughly recommended.. Todays second download is the first album or bootleg by this band that I've posted - and I found that hard to believe - but I've checked my files twice and couldnt find anything. This is The Rezillos and a set at the 100 Club in London on the 30th March 2006. This was part of BBC 6Music's 25th anniversary of punk at the 100 Club. If you like The Rezillos then download this show.... thoroughly recommended.. Todays extra download is a set by Neil Diamond that was recorded at the BBC in London on the 3rd January 1971. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from a tv soundboard broadcast and it sounds fantastic for a show thats nearly 45 years old. Some classics on this one include "Sweet Caroline" "Cracklin' Rosie" and "I Am, I Said". I've posted a few shows by ND in the past and if you've grabbed any of those then grab this one as well... this is thoroughly recommended....
