Thanks for coming on here Steve on what must have been a tough day. From the various comments from yourselves and the management, it was clear that a new playing style to make the football more entertaining was part of the brief, as was integrating the youth. After George's tenure, has the brief changed for any incoming manager? From a personal perspective, I think whatever happens, our excellent young players point to a prosperous future, but does the fear of failure mean we have to compromise on the chances we give those youngsters? Thanks for coming on here Steve on what must have been a tough day.

From the various comments from yourselves and the management, it was clear that a new playing style to make the football more entertaining was part of the brief, as was integrating the youth. After George's tenure, has the brief changed for any incoming manager?

From a personal perspective, I think whatever happens, our excellent young players point to a prosperous future, but does the fear of failure mean we have to compromise on the chances we give those youngsters?

No it wasnt a knee jerk reaction. I have had concerns for a while that I had made a mistake . In the end I dont think George and Crystal Palace were the right fit.

1. Are we still looking to significant strengthen the squad in the January window and will the new man be given funds? 2. What sort of timeframe do you expect a new manager to be appointed within? 3. Was the decision purely footballing or were there other issues? i.e. unrest in the dressing room or lack of belief in Burley? 4. Does the shortlist include managers currently in work? Very disappointed in this outcome. For the first time in decades we had manager that wanted to play football the right way. I would love to think Burleys replacement would be looking to play passing football this way. I seriously believe long term this is what we need to do if we are to attract the missing thousands. I'm sure I don't need to remind you our best crowds were in the 70s when we always looked to play the right way regardless of results. Since then apart for very brief reprieves we have had one long ball manager after another. This is after all an entertainment sport and I personally believe it's the main reason our support has steadily ebbed away.
