Biggest Bulls*** Service when it comes to rumours. I'm happy to wait for an official announcement

Parish has said that round two of the interviews is today so that is a load of cack. They haven't decided yet, taking time to make the right decision for our club. Here's hoping Eddie Howe will be said decision.

Everything I've heard about Eddie Howe fills me with confidence and he is everything that a club like ours should be looking for as the foundation stone of a long term strategy.

All that worries me is that he is completely Bournemouth-shaped - all his achievements are with one club and one club only. His loyalties are firmly rooted there. Apart from looking at his evident quality achievements there, can we reasonably expect him to translate all that to us? On paper, he looks absolutely the real deal but would he struggle away from his own environment?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Thats an excellent point Cucking. Hugely intelligent that I am (you should see the size of my spam) I hadn't thought of that.
It will be quite a transition period for him too bearing in mind that Bournemouth is the only club he's ever been at and the style, tactics, formation, etc will be different to what he is used to.
In my mind this sets a good/great manager asside from an average one. Someone that can walk into an unknown environment with players he doesn't know and still hit the ground running.

I don't think that's really him.

If so:

1) Why does he only follow 8 people.
2) Why does he only have only around 170 followers.
3) Why would he know - or give a sh*t.

Kojak is right.

Maybe must be a right sad case to pretend to be Scowcroft though! Time will tell but everything seems to be pointing to EH.

Well that has to be a concern. One of the immediate issues he would face is the higher level of expectation of our fans v. those that he is used to. And given our current situation he has little margin for error - unless we're all going to be big enough to forgive him a possible relegation in the hope that he is the right manager to re-build next season from L1.

The time will come - hopefully it's now - that he has to ask himself the same question and challenge himself further.

If it is to be believed that Coppell is having a large hand in the decision making, then I would of thought Howe would appeal to him, as opposed to a more bullish old hand.

Coppell knew how to pick up talent from the lower leagues, so perhaps his judgement of lower league managers is also sound.

I knew nothing of Howe until his name popped up, but I'm happy to support whomever takes the hot seat.

Same could be said of Chris Hughton and Keith Hill which leaves Paulo Sousa, ufffff

Apparently James Scowcroft has just tweeted that its Howe. I agree regarding he (or whoever) will need to be given time; if we go down then we go down.

We MUST give the guy a chance; the foundations as far as the squad and the acadmey are 80% there; his teams play football the right way. All he needs is time.
