I'm kind of playing Devil's Advocate here, but maybe Howe just had good players coming through?

Everyone thought Dowie was amazing just because AJ had two fantastic seasons.

Maybe Vokes + McQuoid + Pitman are Howe's AJs?

...we must expand...get more pupils...so that the knowledge will spread...

Disagree with you pymble wizard im not saying he's a bad manager im just saying at the current time in our situation we need experience if you want us to stay up...

Agree, im not the only one worried about Howe's experience then Coppell, Hughton or O'Driscol for me.

As said before Burley has plenty of experience and that didnt work. Experience isnt the be all and end all.

No but at this stage of the season i would say its a bigger risk than it was appointing Burley at the beginning of the season. It makes no sense to me.

Maybe, but then we've got a decent crop of youngsters as well as well. He still got the most out of them and I think the general consensus in regards to Brett Pitman was that he's lazy and had a career going nowhere, yet he's now in the midst of a fine scoring run at Championship level.

Eddie's appointment would be a gamble, but he can't help the fact he's not more experienced. Given the job he's had, you seriously couldn't expect any more. It's virtually 2 years to the day since he was appointed manager, and yet they're now 46 places higher up the league, that's literally half the football league! Inexperienced? Maybe. But a lot more experienced than he was at just 31 when he started the job.

If we were to let him get a job elsewhere to gain more experience, he may well end up out of our reach if he excels again.

However if we did get relegated under Howe he would possibly be the best person to get us back up again. Therefore a calculated risk by our smart thinking directors.

Howe first team coach with Coppell to work as an advisor on transfers and team selection???

Definately think Coppell should play some kind of role in the team, kind of like Dalgish at Liverpool.

Personally would like Southgate but Howe would be a quality shout.

No, I think that situation would be inadvisable and a director of football (ie Coppell) should take a different role. Howe wouldn't want to come here unless he got a very good deal and he would want full charge.

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

Relegation would ruin us though it can't happen it would mean the effort put in would of been wasted plus the fact we'd lose just about everyone apart from Claude Davis hahahaha!!
