Personally - do I believe in the Welfare state - yes. Do I believe that it should be a career choice, no. Probably like 90% of the population don't.

My experience is dealing with small businesses and I can tell you now this Government is far tighter on collecting taxes than the previous incumbents. Oh and before we get the bollocks about "well it's an accountants job to find clever ways for someone not to pay tax" - no it isn't. I pay my taxes like everyone else and any planning I do is Vanilla, half of accountancy is keeping someone legal, the other half is interpreting the rules. I pay my taxes in full, why would I want to help people evade them?

In fact what the Government brought in regarding tax avoidance is subject to a judicial review this month as to it's legality. They arguably went too far.

Now before you dismiss me as some right wing facist, or Tory rich boy, I grew up in a Civil Service household. Every year the CS pension goes up above inflation. I deal with people who don't have gold plated pensions backed by the taxpayer, including a milkman who lost everything due to pension advisers and it still delivering into his 70's.

Should Teachers be giving careers advice, no way. Unless you have experience of the private sector then you can't comment on it in the same way as you would tell someone who hasn't been a teacher how they can't do your job. Just because you are in the public sector doesn't make you a better person, which you seem to think it does.

It doesn't matter what a person does if they contribute - from the wealthiest tycoon to the shelf stacker - if you pay into the system you should take out of it. I put everything I've got on the line to start my business as many people do, and it affords you an understanding of why people do it. I'll be at work till 10 o'clock tonight trying to build a better future for myself.

I'd wager that at 34 I've got a lot more life experience than the 28 year told Tory MP that recently got elected here, or the 23 year old Labour candidate who worked for a left-wing thinktank in the neighbouring constituency. What life experience do these two have?

So in summary - where do I sit on the political scale.

Am I going to read an article you put up and change my mind? - no. Are many other people, no. And why is because the same rhetoric is continually drilled out and it becomes boring. People can make up their own minds.

In reality though what are you actually achieving, besides giving yourself some smug, self satisfaction that you are somehow better than everyone else because you are educated, which is somewhat ironic as you seem to want to promote equality for all.

Or to put it another way as I explained to a student who was complaining about tuition fees a few weeks ago. I borrowed money to start a business, I earn less now that I did when I was employed and the bank funnily enough couldn't give a rat's arse about whether I earn a certain amount or not, they just want their money back. That's life, deal with it.

The head of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, has endorsed the UK government's economic strategy.

Speaking at an IMF meeting in Washington she said: "It's obvious what's happening in the UK has worked."

Ms Lagarde added that the UK authorities had managed to provide the right balance of spending cuts and revenue raising.
