Sullivan said Austin is injury prone and not worth the risk due to his ligaments, Austin said it's inaccurate and he is in good health. Let's hope he comes to us. This could still be on especially if Muzza and Gayle leave the club. have a feeling any deal could involve Guardiora. Steve Parish did say his hoping for two more signings, hopefully one of those a quality centre back. I agree, QPR have open interest in a couple of our players and seeing as no one is looking likely to match the 15 Million they want for Austin he could end up leaving in a swap/player cash deal. This would be amazing in every way

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Charlie Austin (rumour)' by james03 If Murray goes for the 5 - 6 mil the papers are suggesting and with Gayle being shipped out (is that still happening ?) and finally Spurs potentially grabbing bolasie for at leat (and I do mean the very least) 10/11 mil then that could allow us to buy Austin at a slightly reduced rate with the window closing ... Otherwise our striker options look rather limited, Wickham needs to hit the ground running and that's a lot of pressure on his shoulders to do that without any viable support if the above players leave / get sold .. I feel this may be a last minute deal based on all or some of the above players leaving .. Expect a last ditch scramble for Austin.
