After the signing of cabaye we set a high standard if Bamford came first I think a lot of people would have been happier. He has the ability to potentially be very dangerous in the premier league lets give him a chance and see how he gets on.

Is Bamford a target man? I didn't think he had much physical presence myself...and only on loan to potentially then be preferred to Dwight Gayle who has proved he can score PL goals, then to return to Chelsea should he prove successful? No thanks.

If true, I'm not exactly punching the air on this one. He can score goals in the Championship but has never set foot on a PL pitch...hmmm...we'll see.

Bamford is a great finisher with a great left foot,he trains with some very good players at Chelsea so will bring alot to the table.

think he was Championship player of the year,a Chelsea friend of mine thinks Bamford should be given he's chance at Chelski next season.

The problem is if he turns out to be class, Chelsea will take him back. If not, well he's not...

I would look at this as an exciting signing were it to be permanent but can't help feel underwhelmed by a loan deal

We're the Arthur over ere!

This is my main issue; too similar to a player who has already proven he will score for us given the chance

People underwhelmed by Bamford clearly have never seen him play. Trust me, after a season with us you'll be gutted he wasn't a permanent signing. This kid has it all.

Have to be honest, I am disappointed with the reaction. We get cabaye now only Messi will do. This kid was championship player of the year at 21! This time last year Austin hadn't set foot in the Orem either. Seriously, people need to get a grip!

I'm saying quite the opposite, I'd rather sign nobody than endure the permutations of this deal-Gayle isn't the only one affected.

Patrick Bamford almost single handedly got Middlesborough into the play-offs. He was scoring goals for fun and would do a great job given the service he will likely get. I'm excited about this development and can't wait for him to prove the doubters wrong!
