You see him as a credible source now?

I suppose it's better than Neil warnock and Roger daltrey

Carney is just lying and doom mongering less. Pretty obvious.

It will be quite a sight today, with arch-brexiteers voting for Mays deal, which is mainly remaining in the EU.

Have our MPs a detailed knowledge of the withdrawal agreement, a Polish MEP provoked laughter when she said they had never even read it.

I am thinking an election and a fresh mandate, above all a break from all this where people could hopefully become rational.

A Royal Commission or similar, into brexit.

Away from these hysterical proceedings.

You have been watching Yes Minster again? This is Sir Humprrey's solution to anything he doesn't want to do let's have an Inquiry Minister.

Banksy' view of the Commons. You will notice that the chimps are better behaved than the MPs.

Mervyn King on the radio this morning of the view that the Euro Zone is struggling. Italy's GDP has not grown in 20 years, since the referendum the UK economy has grown more than Germany's, and sterling is largely unchanged since he left office in 2013 - way too much gloom around the economic forecasts according to MK and he's an economist.

What is important is that freedom of movement ends and that we can make trade deals outside of the EU.

The amount of money we are paying the EU has to be worth it.....otherwise...

Yes but those factors are not influenced by whether we are part of the EU or not

Poland. A place that’s so great that it sometimes feels half their working population is in England. Good luck to them individually. Poland is relying on workers coming to Britain, mainly England, earning money and taking it back to Poland. Good luck to them individually. That and our EU contributions.

You are a bit behind the times mate. Last 10 years our economy has tanked. Same period, Poland's has shot up by almost a quarter. The flow of Poles is by way of return if anything.

Also, those who came and are here do overwhelmingly PAYE jobs and thus pay into our tax system and don't send money "home". certainly the Poles I know. They consider here to be their home.

If you are saying that they are prepared to work harder than our home grown workers and for lower pay and this has caused 100,000s of people to feel resentment at the loss of opportunities and depressed wages, then there you may have a point.

Quite. These things take years. Classic long grass solution.

Well that’s a reason why loads of us voted leave, and you’ve said exactly the same.

1. I’m not surprised. The only way was up tbf. A quarter of not very much. Our economy hasn’t ‘tanked’ as you describe it, unless you basing it on a history of 10 years only.

2. I’m talking about returning home with their savings, rather than wiring money home. I e said in previous posts about how Polish families are making South Croydon their home, but there’ll be a fair amount of them that may return home. However, what about the many men living in one house to make the pay work, this driving wages down? I expect they’ll be taking their savings home where they can live without sharing with however many blokes.

3. Yep. Doesn’t affect me but I feel their frustration so I’m not a self interested voter.

From where do you learn this?

Everything I have heard says the opposite

When I contacted a wojewodzki urzad pracy to try to advertise for staff they wouldn’t help

Poland is actively repatriating people. Pay in Warsaw is comparable with the UK now
