Returning to Brexit, the vast majority of Conservative members are in favour of 'No deal'.

From my humble perspective, staying in the Customs Union / Single Market would not respect the result of the referendum and we might as well stay in the EU rather than go down this path.

I shall now return to the football threads ! I have enough of Brexit outside of HOL !

Please understand that I know a large amount of people voted for brexit with, what they thought at the time (and perhaps still do) were logical reasons.

Please also understand that many small minded bigots voted for brexit because they plainly and simply don’t like foreigners.

The leave campaign and certain papers stoked up that anti foreigner sentiment as you well know.

I have lived in many countries all over the world and luckily haven’t seen much xenophobia directed towards me, aside from a Scottish bloke I met in Sydney but that was in jest, and to be fair braveheart has just come out.

The point here was a very simple one. A million people of all shapes and sizes marched to remain. On the leave side it was by far a smaller demographic. Draw what conclusions you will from that, but it is a fact.

There wasn't a million people marching for remain. Sky News and others said it was closer to 400,000.
Then again it doesn't matter which side had the most people marching in London, it was who had the most marching to the ballot box in June 2016 to cast their vote!

Your question speaks a thousand words.

Cleary you are not delighted about it. So what is it that you have against non white people exactly?

Yes I am delighted, I have travelled all over the world and don’t judge people based on the colour of their skin.

So you think it is normal to rejoice when people who are different from you flood into your country.

And what the hell do you keep going on about skin colour for? What is it with you and Jon Snow? You seem obsessed.

You remind me of previous posters who left and joined the BBS.

I have also travelled around the world and a lot of what I have seen I would not want in Britain.

A customs union or single market is what we originally joined and I would have thought many would be happy to go back to that.

Really, the type of exit should have been ageed before asking the public to vote on it.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

We would but that option isn't on the table as a stand alone

Really? You would need to show me that

The earlier one was probably 450k including those that came and went. The recent one was massively bigger. I was at both.

Tbf the opposite is true as well (not saying your observation isn't right as well). There are a lot of things around the World that would be good in Britain.

Yeah. Better food like in the States. Better beaches like in loads of places, more open spaces, more mountains, some less uptight, stuffy people from a variety of places. Some hotter women from a variety of places...
Yeah a few things, but not criminals, religious loons or race card playing whingers though.

Pure ignorance.

What went on in those prisoner of war camps means that we'd all be justified in hating them all, forever, in the names of our fathers.

You need to read a book mate. If his old man didn't/doesn't like Japanese people because of his experiences perhaps you should try walking a mile in his shoes?

Personally, I'm thankful for his service and if he wants to dislike the Japanese, good luck to him he's earned it. He's not a racist, he's a man affected by the effect of war and distrustful of his one time foe.

Try having empathy for a change rather than judge people. Bloke is a war hero FFS.

Yep. Ignores the fact the peoples view in the past may have been affected by people firing bullets at them in the name of the imperial leader. Excellent example of not looking at an argument from both sides point of view. Not a racist, just someone who finds it difficult to forgive a nation that tried to kill him and his mates.
