Dead lazy, but someone once said that if voting mattered then we'd never have been given the right.

Sadly history shows this to be true.
We're 'given' a vote that ultimately doesn't matter. It's laughable tbh that people take this s*** seriously.

Oh well

A troubling but likely accurate take. I'd always considered that if you have significant resources at your disposal it's very easy to hold massive influence in a first past the post system. Just flash the cash in both directions and you've got it sewn up, US lobbying style. Then ensure the population are endlessly at loggerheads and fragmenting along social issues as a distraction. Equals Profit! $$$$$

That's a curious thought.

If the Tories broke up all their voters would go to Farage......So I'd rather suspect you'd very much hope they didn't break up.

If the Tories broke up only a proportion of their voters would go to Farage!

There are many, like me, who detest the drift to the right and want nothing to do with Farage or his kind.

Where their home will be in future is unclear right now. It could be in the LibDems, if they get themselves sorted out. It might have been in Change, but they seem to be uncertain of where they are going themselves. My hope is that all these elements will coalesce around a central imperative, whilst retaining some degree of individual identity and co-operate in any future GE under an "Alliance" banner. They could then become an important partner in a coalition, which I see as the most likely outcome of the next GE.

What is for sure is that a substantial number of Tories won't go to Farage if they break up. Most perhaps but never all.

Mmmm....fair enough, most not all.

I made the mistake of saying 'all' which is rarely correct when we are referring to humans.

It's always been that way to me.

I would prefer the familiarity of Polish and Nigerian accents myself.

Surely you are not being Racist against the indeginous population of Cambridgeshire?

Substantial is my opinion. Not all is a fact.

What constitutes substantial in this context is another opinion.

In truth I have not had the opportunity to study the native cambridgean tribes in their natural habitat. The rumours may in fact not be entirely true.

Thanks for your agreement in changing our country for ever against the view of the majority and sanity. Not.

We would think it was like coy your opinion would never get into power, only did and does, with people like Tony Bliar doing it without telling or asking the country what it thinks. Typical really, because it’s crazy stupidity.
