My family live in Scotland and it has just not been an issue of equal importance in Scotland (hence the lower turnout than nationally and considerably so than the indy ref).

I'll be interested to see what happens. Sturgeon knows she won't get another chance after this gift, but the last polls showed that the majority of Scots still favoured being in the UK even in the event of Brexit. She won't risk it if she thinks she'll loose again.

Exactly. Now that there is categorically no uncertainty that they would have to adopt the Euro, there's even less chance of her winning another referendum.

Its good to see that facts and the opinion of experts cant sway the Great British public if you show them a picture of a Bulldog swathed in a Union Jack pissing on a beret on a red top tabloid....

A good day for Rupert Murdoch and bailiffs....we now have at least a decade of instability...

I was told that bad things happen in threes, followed by three good things.

So, the three bad things...my knee replacement was postponed indefinitely, I was diagnosed with a serious illness, and Palace lost the cup.

Today, the first good thing was the referendum result. I am hoping the next two good things will be me winning the lottery and a proposal of marriage from Katy Perry

Thank goodness the general public didn't swallow Cameron's dire warnings of WW3 starting. If there was that threat he wouldn't have allowed the referendum in the first place. Prick!

I even saw that dickhead David Beckham urging us to vote remain. That was desperation indeed by the remain side. I'm surprised the remain camp didn't drag out that waste of fresh air Russell Brand to promote their cause!

Obama, Blair, Gordon Brown, John Major, the w***ers of Europe and the eu with their threats of "dire consequences"...the public have voted. Quietly f*** off and crawl back under your stones. We are now free to set our own laws, set our own taxes, make our own trade deals, and face the world as a free and democratic country without the dead hand of the eu restricting and controlling us.

If it is the case that it will take 2 years to negotiate leaving the EU (and thus for those 2 years we are still subject to the rules and regulations), and if as Junckers says the negotiated settlement in February - limiting benefits to EU migrants - will now not be implemented, is it not the case that for those 2 years we will have to accept an unlimited number of Europeans who will be able to receive immediate help from the welfare system?

And apparently UK ex-pats who return back to the UK after being abroad a long time are considered as migrants in the immigration statistics. That's a potential extra 1 million 'migrants' in 2 years time.

You wouldn't say you were over egging the pudding a touch with the ten year nonsense, given that the pound has already in a matter of hours started to claw back the losses from when trading first opened this morning ?

Cheer up FFS

Very sad.

The I believe in democracy as long as you agree with me attitude.

So many people in Britain, particularly among the young, are so arrogant and full of self importance that they cannot accept that the majority reject their attitude.

Sense of entitlement again. Keep nagging Mum for the new computer game when you could get a paper round or help with some housework. F***ers won't even know the favour we've done them when they get the keys to their 2 bedroom starter house rather than a box flat hours away from family/work/friends/whoever.

I very seldom post on these boards, and when I do I prefer to discuss Palace.

However anytime I read anything overtly political on the Hol you seem to pop up. And everything you do post is incredibly aggressive, derogatory and rude. Indeed you go out of your way to antagonise and bully other people for having views that conflict with your own.

It seems as though the way we discuss our politics in the UK is becoming more and more like how you choose to express yourself.

I can't help but think its incredibly sad.

Couldn't care less what you think. Run along sweetheart.

Ah! the Remain folklore begins.

"It was them stupid people what done it. They didn't listen to the experts and the really clever people like us who are always right about everything".

And of course they will wallow in this doom mongering nonsense hoping to create a self fulfilling prophecy, so they can tell us they were right all along.
